    Parallel and Contrast Characters

    Parallel—the same (having similar qualities)
    Contrast—different (having opposite or different qualities)

    1. How is Lennie’s character a parallel to a mouse? Explain. (3 pts)

    He is parallel to a mouse by being confused and scared in some situations.







    2. How is Lennie’s character a contrast to a mouse? Explain. (3 pts)

    He contrast to a mouse by being the oppisite size as a mouse a mouse is SMALL but he is HUGE.






    3. What character in the book could Lennie be a parallel to? What about a contrast? Explain why. (3 pts)

    Lennie is parallel to Candy’s dog because they both are suffering lennie is mental and the dog mental and physical.








    4. How is George’s character a parallel to Candy (old swamper)? Explain. (3 pts)

    George is parallel to Candy bcause they both had enough of the ranch, and is tired of the rucus inside it.






    5. What is a type of car that Curley’s wife is a parallel to? Explain.

    She is parallel to a MAGIC CAR because a magic car does tricks and that’s what she is a trick




    6. What is an animal that Curley is a parallel to? Explain.

    Curley is parallel to a Ram because rams are aggressive, and so is curley








    7. Pick a cartoon character that you are a contrast to and explain all of the ways that you are a contrast to that character. (5 pts)

    I am a contrast to Patrick because I am not stupid, im not pink, I cant live in the ocean,and I don’t live in bikini bottom.

    Lennie is parallel to Candy’s dog because they both are suffering lennie is mental and the dog mental and physical.
